Dubai Cycling Routes: From the Waterfront to Desert and Mountains

Dubai cycling routes

Seven ways to ride: waterfront, urban training loops, a motor circuit, desert, forest and mountains. Choose by surface, distance and experience level.

Al Qudra

A desert network of roughly 86 km, popular with road cyclists. Shorter options exist, but long rides require water, sun protection and self-sufficiency.

Nad Al Sheba + DXBike

Nad Al Sheba has illuminated 4 km, 6 km and 8 km loops, while nearby DXBike offers a smooth track of about 8.4 km. A practical city-side choice for laps and training.

Train DXB — Dubai Autodrome

Ride on a car-free racing circuit during scheduled evening sessions. Advance registration, an access fee and a cycling helmet are required; check the date before travelling.

Hatta MTB Trails

About 52 km of mountain-bike trails in the Hajar Mountains, with four difficulty levels from green to black. Bring a mountain bike, sufficient water and an honest assessment of your skills.

Mushrif Park

A wooded mountain-bike network within Dubai, extending to 50 km with green, blue and red levels. It is not simply a park path: advanced sections require technique and protective gear.

Jumeirah Beach + Dubai Water Canal

An easier urban option: a coastal path of about 16 km passes Kite Beach and Umm Suqeim and connects towards the Dubai Water Canal route.

Before you ride

Check Careem Bike for short city trips. Use the official RTA map for the network, with Komoot and Strava as additional planning tools, always rechecking access and conditions.
