Who we are

BellBoy is an information project about travel, life and business in different countries. We publish articles, guides and recommendations and feature services offered by independent professionals and companies.

The website is operated by TRANZY LIMITED, registered in the United Kingdom. Address: 7 Bell Yard, London, United Kingdom, WC2A 2JR. For personal data enquiries: run@bellboy.run.

This policy explains what data we process, why we need it and who receives it.

What data we process

Account information. You can register with an email address and password or sign in with Telegram. When you sign in with Telegram, we receive your Telegram ID, name and username, if you have one. This information is used to authenticate you and provide access to your account area. Registration is voluntary; you do not need an account to read our publications.

Requests to providers and conversations. You can write to a provider after signing in. We store your request, your name, your account contact (email or Telegram) and your further conversation with the provider — both on the website and through the Telegram bot. The conversation is visible to you and the provider in your account areas.

Providers and partners. If you list services on BellBoy, we process information about the company and its representatives: name, description, contact details, service information and the Telegram IDs of team members who have access to managing services and requests.

Messages to BellBoy. If you contact us by email or another listed channel, we receive your message and any contact details you provide.

Technical information. Operating the website may involve processing IP addresses, browser and device information, visit times and technical event logs. This information supports website functionality, security and troubleshooting.

Why we use data

We use data to:

  • create and maintain your account;
  • forward your request to the provider you select and support your conversation with them;
  • display requests and conversations in your account area;
  • list providers’ services and run their business accounts;
  • respond to your messages;
  • consider disagreements when you ask for our assistance;
  • protect and improve the website.

Account administration, request forwarding and conversations are necessary to provide the website functions you request. Security, responding to enquiries and considering disagreements rely on our legitimate interests, taking your rights into account. Where consent is required by law, including for analytics cookies, we request it separately.

How requests reach providers

Your request is submitted through BellBoy’s website and delivered to the selected provider in their account area and through a Telegram bot. The provider sees your name and the text of your message.

Further communication takes place through BellBoy: the provider’s replies arrive in your account area, and the provider may also reply from Telegram — the bot forwards messages both ways. The whole conversation about a request is stored in BellBoy’s system. If you and the provider agree to communicate directly outside the website, we do not receive that correspondence.

The provider is independently responsible for their use of the information they receive. Telegram processes data under its own Privacy Policy.

BellBoy’s role in service bookings

BellBoy helps you find and contact providers. We do not deliver the listed services, collect payments for them or become a party to the contract between the customer and the provider.

Prices, scope, timeframes, payments, cancellations and refunds are agreed directly with the provider. Each party is responsible for fulfilling their own obligations.

If a disagreement arises, you may contact us. We may help facilitate communication and consider the situation using the available information. This assistance does not mean that BellBoy assumes the provider’s obligations or guarantees a resolution.

BellBoy remains responsible for its own actions, including data processing within its system, to the extent required by applicable law.

Cookies and analytics

The website uses technical cookies and similar technologies for essential functions: signing in, remembering settings and recording your cookie preferences.

We use Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica to understand website traffic. These services may process information about viewed pages, browsers, devices and technical identifiers.

Yandex Metrica is loaded only after you consent. It has Session Replay (Webvisor) enabled, which records interactions on the page — clicks, scrolling and mouse movements — so we can see where the website is difficult to use.

Before consent, Google Analytics runs without cookies and sends anonymised technical signals without identifiers; after consent it runs normally. The absence of cookies does not itself mean that no data is transmitted.

For more information, see the privacy policies of Google and Yandex.

You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you decline, we remove analytics cookies from the website; this does not delete information already received by analytics services.

Who receives data

Access to necessary data may be provided to:

  • the provider you select, so they can respond to your request and continue the conversation;
  • technical providers: website hosting (DigitalOcean, Frankfurt, Germany), database and accounts (Supabase, Frankfurt, Germany);
  • Telegram, when messages are forwarded through the bot and when you sign in with Telegram;
  • analytics providers — Google and Yandex — as part of the tools described above;
  • map services (OpenStreetMap and route planning services) — when you open a map, your browser contacts their servers;
  • competent authorities where disclosure is required by law.

We do not sell personal data. Access within BellBoy is restricted to people who need it to perform the relevant tasks.

Our main data is stored in the European Union. External services may process data outside the United Kingdom and the EU. Transfers subject to data protection requirements use the safeguards required by applicable law.

How long we keep data

Account information is retained while the account is used and the information is needed to maintain it.

Requests and the conversations about them are retained to make enquiries accessible and to help consider possible disagreements. Retention depends on whether a request remains active, whether there are unresolved issues and whether the information is needed to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

You may request deletion of your account, requests and conversations by email. If some information must be retained because of an ongoing dispute or a legal obligation, we will explain the reason and limit retention to what is necessary. An unfinished service does not, by itself, mean that every deletion request will be refused.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your data, correction or deletion, restriction of processing, object to certain processing and, where applicable, receive your data in a portable format.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Contact run@bellboy.run to make a request. Where necessary, we may ask you to confirm that the request concerns your own data.

Deleting information from BellBoy does not automatically delete it from a provider’s records or Telegram. Please contact the relevant recipient for those requests.

You may also complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or another competent supervisory authority.

Children

The website is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data; if you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact run@bellboy.run and we will delete it.

Policy changes

We update this policy when website functions or data processing practices change. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page.
